what are the brown spots on the leaves a granny smith apple?
rich c on May 31, 2016
BEST ANSWER: RIch, the brown spots your finding are subject to be a few issues. One is fire
blight common to apples trees, rust spot or early leaf fungus. An all purpose
fungicide or cedar oil will help. One thing that I use is a mixture of white vinegar and water. Works well, easy on the pocket and can be applied at all times. Vigilance pays off, but being persistent. Proper fertilization, adequate h20 and good pruning will help more in the long run. Hope this helps.
