Water and protect tender plants. A simple yet effective tool — sets up in 5-10 minutes! The circular planter will stand upright once the 18 individual cylindrical tubes (measuring 1.5 ft in height) are filled with water. Set tender seedlings inside the cylinder for protection to -16ºF. Planter stores solar heat by day, yielding up to 900,000 calories of warmth by night. Protects against sun scald and frost, allowing plants to be set out 6-12 weeks earlier. Reusable for up to 7-10 years.

When should I remove the Wall of Water plant protectors?
Dulany L on Jun 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I found it best once the tomato is starting to grow out of the top. We did have a very cold start to the summer this year so I waited a bit longer. Much more than that and the plants get to hot.
Is this just a water wall or it actually slowly releases water to the ground too. If you put water wall does it require to water the plant?
Swamiji on Jun 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The wall of water plant protector does not release the water into the ground. The plant will require water. Rainfall is usually sufficient to keep the plant healthy. I use these to harvest tomatoes 2 to 3 weeks earlier than without.

Perfect Product
Great product for starting and protecting your tomato plants. Keeps them warm and protected when it still gets a bit chilly in late spring here in OK.

Do what they say
This is the third year we've used these to get our plants off to a safe start. They protect tomatoes, peppers, basil, and other plants that aren't happy with cooler spring temps, and have been a real plus this year as we've had dramatic temperature changes from day to day. The plants are growing more quickly and a couple are even starting to flower.
The Wall of Water protectors are quite durable and easy to fill. Storage is easy, too, as they take up little space when empty.

Planted four tomatoes on April 5th, much to early for this area, Plants were blooming when I removed the caps, although internal heat was beginning to affect the plants
