The First Editions Neon Burst Dogwood is named for its attractive, bright, chartreuse foliage that lasts all summer long. The lovely leaves of this shrub become a rainbow of purple, red, yellow and orange for a lovely autumn display. This Dogwood provides seasonal interest to any natural and sophisticated landscape!

This Dogwood is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a rounded form and attractive pointed leaves. The new leaves are tinged with bronze and the stems have a rich red hue early in the season. Tartarian Dogwood trees are known for their colorful winter bark and the Neon Burst is no exception. The stems of this showy shrub turn glossy coral red in winter.

Growing A Neon Burst Dogwood Shrub

Neon Burst Dogwood is characterized by its compact, dwarf-like size and upright growth habit. It is an amazingly adaptable plant, tolerating both dry conditions and even some standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. Dogwoods are highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in urban environments.

As this Dogwood grows, the new stems provide the best color in winter. As stems mature, the red shade doesn’t appear as vivid. A little pruning will result in more seasonal color and desired shape.

First Editions Neon Burst Dogwood makes a fantastic statement piece or in large groupings. Plant in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil for best results!
