When your plant matures, it will be approximately 12" tall x 12" wide.

Recommended Spacing

We recommend spacing these plants 12" apart to ensure room for growth.

Recommended Pollinators

This variety is self pollinating.

In many cases, you may still want to plant pollinating partners to increase the size of your crops, but with self-pollinating varieties doing so is optional. You'll get fruit with only one plant!

Is this EarliGlo strawberry the same as the Earliglow strawberry [(Fairland x Midland) x (Redglow x Surecrop)]? The difference in spelling made me wonder if it is a different berry.
AJ S on Apr 2, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They appear to be the same – I'm not sure why there is a spelling discrepancy in the name!
I'm new at gardening but want to dedicate a 4' x 8' bed to strawberries. I'm looking at the EarliGlo variety for my zone (6b). How many plants will I need to fill that space?
Dawn D on Mar 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Since we recommend 1 foot of space between each plant, if you draw out your 4-foot by 8-foot bed, then you should be able to comfortably fit 21 plants into the space (leaving 1 foot on all sides). They fill in quickly once they get growing! Our bare-root strawberry plants come in packages of 25, so that would fill the garden bed with a few plants to spare.

EarliGlo Strawberry
This review only covers the buying experience since I ordered my strawberries for fall planting and it is now only February. This was not my first order with Stark Bros. and it won't be my last- ordering trees soon- and I have had nothing but excellent service. Orders that are delayed due to season ship when they say they will and everything arrives in perfect condition. Though it's too early to say about the strawberries my Weeping Willows that I ordered last spring grew like weeds this past summer and are doing great!

Great Eating, Very Early
Our daughter bought us some for landscaping (white spring flower) - but the berries are so good we bought a bunch more, and we're selling them. They command a premium being so early. If you're shooting for pure poundage, you might try something else. If you want very early, great eating berries, I'd try these.

EarliGlo Strawberry
We are very happy with our EarliGlo Strawberries. When we received the plants they were all healthy - only one was small and rather questionable. I planted it anyway, and you would never know which one it is now. Plants do well, we are very pleased with the yield and large size, and the taste is fantastic. This will be the second year for ours (blooming right now) and we can hardly wait until they ripen.

Very Good Strawberry
Grow fast and plentiful and taste is very good. The plants grow thick and need thinning each fall. don't require a lot of care. I put them in a 4ft x 8 ft raised bed but should have been 18 inch x 8 ft bed since they have trouble getting enough air and sunshine in a 4 ft wide bed.

Loaded Plants
Presently my plants are absolutely loaded with strawberries. My husband and I are eager to taste the first ripe strawberry which will be very soon. The plants are healthy and vigorous!

Strong growth with some leaves that have remained green all winter in eastern Massachusetts. There was a heavy crop last year and many buds this year although the weather is delayed and many rain days.

earliglow strawberries
It takes two years to really get the bumper crop. They are large enough for three bites. Even with the record spring rains we have had in Virginia, I have not had a problem with mold.
