Description

Sweet and seedless. The flowers on this tree will bouquet your patio with fragrance and grow into thick-skinned oranges that are great for making your own juice. May bloom again while fruit still remains on the tree, allowing for different harvest intervals. Heat-tolerant. Fruit takes about 12 months to ripen. Harvest in spring through mid-summer. Self-pollinating.

  • Mature size can be kept smaller by pruning.
  • If you live in a cooler climate, plant these warm-weather plants in containers so that you can move them indoors before freezing temperatures arrive.

Can I use regular potting soil or do I need to just coco fiber potting medium only?
Regina on Mar 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I recommend if you're going to be simple use the Miracle Gro Cactus and Citrus Potting Soil. Otherwise for a more in depth (and expensive) growing medium/way look into Al's Gritty Mix. You'll love it. Enjoy your potted Valencia. Oh, last thing, you'll love Jobe's Fertilizer spikes also. Enjoy!

Good plant
Grows quick but you need sun to grow. Leaves get really big if you don't put it outside for the summer

Happy So Far
I ordered a Valencia Orange and a Tangerine at the end of last year. They came in good condition with healthy full leaves. I put them in my front room window and they did great until one started to show signs of leaves dying. I checked and it needed water. I watered it and gave it a tiny bit of fertilizer. Over about a month it came back and both look great. It's been about four months now. The best part was the price. Everywhere else wanted a lot more money. Thanks Stark Bro's.

Doing fine.
It is a year later. Plant looks the healthiest of the three. Meyer lemon and key lime were the other two. Outside last summer, inside in winter. Norfolk VA.
