Qty
Item #H131082, 24 Pack

Description

Dissolves quickly to provide a natural mosquito repelling system. Each packet contains thousands of floating granules that dissolve and release Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelenis (“BTI”) – the biological active ingredient. Use in any standing or stagnant water including fish ponds, water bowls, large tree holes, and other places where standing water collects. Use only in water that isn’t for human consumption to kill mosquito larvae before they hatch. This product is safe to use around fish and ideal for natural gardeners.

When is the best time to put the bonide mosquito beaters in the water?
Ernest A on Mar 9, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Ideally, before the mosquito populations boom. This timing can vary by location, but you'll be familiar with what to expect in your area. As long as there is standing water that could be a breeding ground for mosquitos, you can use these pouches (following the instructions on the label).
Is this harmful to pets? My dogs sometimes drink out of the ponds.
TANYA W on Apr 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The label doesn't specifically mention dogs or pets, but it is not harmful for fish or beneficial aquatic organisms that live in the water. It is even labeled for use in livestock watering troughs. It should not cause harm, but I'd recommend contacting your vet to find out at what quantity the active ingredient (Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis) becomes harmful to dogs if consumed.
