When is it best to spray neem?
jeff H on Mar 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Neem breaks down in sunlight, so early morning is best. Also, avoid spraying
Flowers. However, I use it as a "soil drench", reapplying about every 2 weeks. Same proportions as the spray, but water the soil & get the systemic benefits of neem. It boosts the plant's immune system, & affects bugs neurologically: they "forget" to eat and reproduce!
should i spray neem oil on a cleveland pear before flowering or after blooms fall off?
peggy g on Mar 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The label will likely advise you not to spray while anything is in bloom. Since Neem Oil is a pesticide, and bees and other beneficials may visit the Cleveland ornamental pear tree while it's blooming, it's better to spray before bloom and/or after bloom – not during. It won't know the difference between a "good bug" and a "bad bug".
How much do you mix with water?
Gloria K on Mar 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Speaking generally, it's 1 fluid ounce of concentrate per 1 gallon of water. Specific application instructions and timing are included on the product label for your convenience.
Is your product pure neem oil?
Pat W on Mar 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The label states that it is 70% neem oil.
Can this be used on dogs?
Gilda O on Feb 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Per the label: "For use on roses, flowers, houseplants, ornamental trees and shrubs, fruits, nuts and vegetables, home lawns. May also be used as a dormant spray to control overwintering eggs of various insects on fruit and shade trees, shrubs, roses, and other ornamentals and vegetables." The label doesn't have directions for applications on dogs. It does, however, say to avoid contact with skin. Best to stick with products specifically intended and designed for use on pets and animals.
