Event: Customer Appreciation Days 2016

2016: Stark Bro's annual "Customer Appreciation Days" event is set for April 21 through April 24. This will be the Garden Center's biggest event in 200 years!

Louisiana, MO (April 12, 2016) — Stark Bro's Nurseries & Orchards Co. will host the most expansive Customer Appreciation Days event in its 200-year history from April 21 through April 24, at the Stark Bro's Garden Center. Open to the public, the occasion will feature special offers, giveaways, how-to demonstrations, live music, prize drawings, live radio broadcasts and book-signings. The company, founded in 1816, is in the midst of celebrating its 200th anniversary in business. A special promotional offer of a free ¼-inch caliper Honeycrisp™ apple tree with an $18.16 purchase is among the many money-saving offerings available during the four-day event. Book-signings will be held throughout the four-day event: Friday, April 22, 9am-11am and 1pm-3pm: LeAnn Zotta, author of "200 Years and Growing: The Story of Stark Bro's Nurseries & Orchards Co." will be autographing her book about the Stark family and the saga of the business that is now the world's oldest fruit-tree nursery. Ms. Zotta will also make an appearance Saturday, April 23 from 9am-11am. Saturday, April 23, 2pm-4pm: Pennye Brown Lentes, author of "In Remission: A Family's Struggle to Save Their Beloved Dog," will be signing books for Garden Center visitors. Sunday, April 24, 2pm-4pm: Karen Mitcham-Stoeckley, local chef and author, and Curt Dennison, the book's photographer, will be autographing "Fabulous Fruits: Recipes for every season," a cookbook featuring dozens of fruit-focused recipes for the gourmet-inclined cook. A fund-raising lunch for the Buffalo Township United Fund is also on the schedule. Lunch (pulled pork sandwich, chips, a cookie and a drink) will be available for $7.00.
