Order & Shipping Policies

Our policy is to fill orders exactly as they are received. If we sell out of a particular variety, we reserve the right to substitute a similar one of equal or greater value. If you do not wish to receive a substitute item with your order, please contact us.

How can we help?

With your order, you will receive a "Read This First" fact sheet, which can answer many questions you may have about planting and caring for trees and plants. You can also find more information here on the website. If you need further assistance, please contact us. We're here to help you succeed!


Your planting success is important to us. When you place your order, we strive to give you the most accurate estimated ship date for your location. If you order a living tree or plant, it will generally ship during the ideal planting season (usually spring or fall), which will be indicated when you place your order. Orders containing only tools and supplies will be shipped soon after purchase.

If you would like us to ship your order at a different time, please contact our Customer Support Team at 800.325.4180, we would be glad to help you find a more convenient shipping date.

Split Shipments

It is possible that your order may be split into separate shipments arriving at different times. If this should happen, each shipment will be noted with the words "Partial Shipment", written below Order Information on the front of the Packing Slip.

Payment Information

For new orders, your payment will be processed shortly after you submit your order. Once your payment has been processed, you'll receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your payment. If you've modified your order after your initial payment has been processed, any remaining balance owed for your order will be resolved at the time the order ships.

Orders placed over the phone or by mail will be released for shipping once payment in full is received. If payment is not received within 30 days of submitting the order, the order will be canceled.

There are several ways to make a payment on an order. For your convenience, you can make a payment online via credit card. Simply sign in and click the "Make a payment" link under My Orders. You can also pay by credit card via phone at 800.325.4180, Monday through Friday, between 8:00am - 4:30pm (CST). You can also send your check or money order to the following address:

Sales Tax

By law, we are required to charge sales tax for some locations. The tax amount shown in your shopping cart, checkout, and order details are estimates based on tax rates at the time your order is submitted. The final tax amount we are required to collect is based on the date your order ships so it may differ from the estimate we provide. We may recover any difference in tax amount or order balance at the time of shipment with the payment method you provide.

Unauthorized Resale Prohibited

Stark Bro's represents and warrants that our products are not eligible for resale under any circumstance. Additionally, third-party sellers are prohibited by law from any unauthorized first-sale of Stark Bro's products or misrepresentations/unauthorized use of Stark Bro's intellectual property. Violators will be held responsible.
