Grape Vines Buyer's Guide

These grape vines are robust and productive, bearing abundant crops each year once mature. When picked in clusters, the fruit also makes a beautiful addition to fruit baskets or centerpieces. Our grape vines include red, blue, and white varieties, so you can choose the grapes you like best, and start your own backyard vineyard!

  • Most of the varieties we offer produce seedless grapes, for easier snacking and making jams, jellies, and juices.
  • You can also try your hand at making homemade wines with our selection of wine grapes.

To ensure your growing success and satisfaction, there are a few things to consider when shopping for a grape vine.

Zone Compatibility

Your climate plays an important role in whether a grape plant will produce fruit or even survive. Before ordering a vine, make sure its recommended hardiness zone range includes your area.

If you live in the warmer parts of the country, zones 7-9, muscadine grapes make a great choice.

Proper Pollination

Even though most of our grape plants are self-pollinating, we still recommend planting another variety in your yard for optimum fruit production.

Sometimes seedless grapes will develop tiny seeds if cross-pollinated by seeded grapes. To ensure that your grapes remain seedless, plant these varieties at least 75 feet apart.

Support System

Grape vines require a support system, in the form of a sturdy fence or trellis, to continue to grow up and off the ground. The support should be built before planting, or very soon after.
