My Hardiness Zone ?
The USDA hardiness zones offer a guide to varieties that will grow well in certain climates. Each zone corresponds to the minimum winter temperatures experienced in a given area. Make sure that your hardiness zone lies within the zone compatibility range of this variety before ordering.

Pollination

This variety is self pollinating.

In many cases, you may still want to plant pollinating partners to increase the size of your crops, but with self-pollinating varieties doing so is optional. Plant one of these varieties within 100' for best results.

Why did you choose this?

To replace a Reliance Peach Tree that did not make it through the winter.

sounded the best for my home

Had 8 of these before the tornado went through and they were delicious. Got them from Starkbros too.

I wanted to try it.

This last year all my peaches got some type of mold growing on them, do you now what this might have been and how can I keep it from reoccurring this year?

Probably brown rot (a common fungal issue for peach trees growing in humid areas). This article should help: http://www.starkbros.com/growing-guide/article/all-about-brown-rot

I live in south east Idaho and would like the smallest reliable peach tree ?

I am entering my second winter with 2 Reliance peach trees - last winter was
harsh and both trees died back to main stem - I trimmed them and they put out new branches and look good going into this winter - I would say that I am testing it at zone 4a hardiness zone - would limit it to 4b & warmer.
I can't speak to peach production yet

My little 2019 dwarf reliance peach tree has pale rolled leaves. It had a small crop this year but now the leaves have all turned pale and rolled vertically. I don't think it is leaf roll disease. Any suggestions? I do have pictures but can't see how to attach them.

Hi Heidi, We'd be happy to help! Please send us an email with a brief description of the issue along with the photos to info@starkbros.com.

Last year I was happy to see a nice crop of peaces  on my Reliance Peach Tree purchased in 2015, but as the fruit developed, the peaches began to ooze a sticky substance. They were quite good when the affected parts were cut away, but how can I prevent the same from happening on this year's crop?

Please reach out to Info@starkbros.com with pictures of what is happening, if you have them, and a description so they can assist you better on this issue.

We have had a Reliance Peach for years until a storm took it down. Our main problem was trying to keep the squirrels away from it.

Do you have any suggestions?

So far I have not successfully kept those critters out of my fruit trees. The love peaches and apples. I have thought of covering trees with some sort of net, but i think that would only deter birds.

Sorry I cannot provde a guaranteed solution.

How much wind can the peach trees stand?

The wind is not a problem as long as you reduce the amount of fruit on each branch. I tend to not remove enough and branches break regularly. I keep trying all kinds of tricks including bracing branches with 2X4's

Can I plant it in the ground over winter?

We appreciate you reaching out to us. Because weather and soil conditions vary so much from year to year and even within your zone, it's best to think of your planting time as a range of favorable conditions instead of an exact time.

You can plant new plants and trees:
1) when the ground is not frozen.
2) when daytime temperatures are above freezing (32ºF) and below 90ºF.
3) when extreme weather (blizzard, hail, torrential rain, etc.) is not in the forecast. Be sure to keep plants watered if you're transplanting in warm and/or dry weather.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. Have a great day!

How soon after planting can we expect fruit?

We appreciate you reaching out to us. You can find the years-to-bear information in the Characteristics section, near the top of the page, underneath the description. This tree takes 2-4 years to bear.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. Have a great day!

After one month in the ground, my bare root tree has small leaves, but they have become dis colored and curling. Could this be peach leaf curl already? I don't believe water is the issue, if anything they may have been getting too much water as it stormed here(SF, SD 4b) for the last two weeks

You need to be sure that your soil drains well. If not , the roots will sit in water and they will die. I have had that happen too many times here in AR. No problem with that in WY. Moving to KS soon and hoping for much better results there.

Are these free stone?

Yes, they are.

Worth it!
I am so impressed! We live in North Texas. This reliance peach tree finally gave us an amazing harvest! Juicy, sweet, full of flavor! Bought in 2022. 1st harvest in 2025. Worth it! We mesh bagged off the peaches and helped tremendously with bugs.

The peach tree has been my best purchase so far. I got multiple fruits the second year. Third year we had the polar vortex, so blossoms may have been affected so no fruit for 2 years. After a 2 year hiatus, I see blossoms again. Just hope we get season 2 of fruit, this would be 5th year of having this peach tree. Growth has been almost 3-4 feet over those years. Excited, purchased many trees from Stark Bros, and this one is the only one that gives me hope, a 10% fruiting success rate amongst all of my purchases of fruit trees/bushes from Stark Bros, because I purchased at least 10 in 2021

My Reliance Peach Tree is off to a good start. It is healthy and has enough side branches that with a little pruning should be fine.
