Description

Nikita’s Gift Persimmon Tree is as vigorous as the American Persimmon and as large as the Asian. This hybrid was introduced by the Nikita Botanical Garden in Yalta, Ukraine. Nikita’s Gift bears crops of sweet, large, red-orange fruit, followed by vivid, orange foliage in the fall. Nikita’s Gift tastes more like Asian persimmon. These astringent fruits are typically dried or used in jams.

A lovely addition to small gardens and orchards, this second-generation persimmon tree is a hardy, small tree with upright growth. Nikita’s Gift is a self-fertile variety, great for first-time fruit growers!

very hard to fine this tree

I’m a fan of The Gardening Channel and for the last few years iv3 been wanting to grown this Persimmon. Before I completed my purchase here I was able to purchase similar persimmons and after…

Could this be planted in a grow bag so it could be moved into a garage in winter? Know it isn't in stock, but I'm thinking about next year. My other question is I know it grows to be 10-12 feet tall but if one wanted to keep it to say 6 feet tall, can you successfully do this and get fruit?

Yes it can be plante din a grow bag and moved to an unheated garage and yes pruning can be done to keep this smaller.

Nice tree and solid price.
Tree arrived around 3’ tall with healthy looking leaves. Looked great up until it went dormant. I’m hoping for some growth in the second year but so far, it’s looking promising.
