A newly planted tree is vulnerable until its roots establish a firm grip in the soil — and until that happens, a windstorm can uproot or lean a young tree enough to permanently damage its establishment. This stake-and-strap system holds the tree in place through those vulnerable early seasons while still allowing natural movement as it grows. That movement matters: a tree that flexes slightly in the wind develops a stronger, more tapered trunk than one held completely rigid. Strongly recommended for young dwarf trees. Each stake includes one sturdy fiberglass rod and one 3/4" wide x 10½" long flexible strap. Available in two sizes.
