Why did you choose this?

Large variety

I would like to add blueberries to my garden and these will grow in my area. I also trust Stark Bros, they have the highest quality plants, service, and communication. I have shopped with them for…

for cross pollenating purposes

Love blueberries

how old are the blueberry plants that you sell, 1 year, 2 years...?

Thank you for your question! The age and size information for our blueberries is as follows: 3.5” pot: 6-12 months old, and 4” tall small gallon container: 2 years old and 12” tall.

do deer eat blueberries?

I don't have a problem with deer, but I know they will eat just about anything.
I put a fishing net over my blueberries to protect them from the birds or
potential deer.

Is this a rabbiteye or highbush?

'Jubilee' is a highbush blueberry cultivar that was developed by Mississippi State University and the Agricultural Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It has a lower chilling requirement and a better tolerance to heavy soils and summer heat than many other blueberry cultivars.

How long should blueberry bushes produce? Mine are about 15 years old and produced well for a number of years but not the last couple.

The key to a long life of productivity for blueberry bushes (I'm assuming Northern Highbush) is selective pruning during the dormant period. A second factor of course is the soil condition/quality -- appropriate pH, adequate nutrients, and water. If you exercise care blueberry plants can be productive over 20 years.

How big are the plants that are being shipped?  Do you have a discount on shipping if so many are purchased?

We do not offer a bulk discount and the size will vary depending on which option you choose from the drop down menu.

Cold hardiness hours?

The Recommended winter chill: 500 hours. Plant with another midseason variety to improve yield.

Do these arrive as a plant w/foliage or just a cane?

Depending on when this is ordered and delivered as we do ship dormant in the spring.

Are Jubilee blueberries sweet.?  Do not like tanginess.

This early/midseason selection offers medium-sized, sky-blue, very sweet berries, with a moderately low chill requirement and good heat tolerance.

IA a jubilee and sunshine good together?

Yes as blueberries are self pollinating so having different variaties will increaser your crop yield.

What is the chill hour requirement for this type?

This variety needs around 500 chill hoiurs to bear fruit.

We have done very little for these plants and they are steadily getting bigger every year. We have about 4 types of blueberries and this one seems to be the easiest.

Good quality plant
Plant arrived on time and in good shape planted it it took off growing great. This growing season it seems to be struggling a bit we had a unuasly wet and warm winter as a matter of fact the plant never lost all of its folage from last year I feel that it will be ok if the weather returns to more normal pattern.
