How tall are the O'Neal blueberry bushes when they come? What is the difference in the 2 containers offered?

If you buy the small container they are about 4-5 inches tall. You would be better off buying the one gallon size. They are further along and more than a foot tall, and they cost more. My four plants are a year old and about 18 inches tall.

Is the colorful in fall? Red? Yellow? Oranger?

Hi Marilyn, This is a great question. The O'Neal blueberry turns a brilliant red before falling in colder climates and is known to remain green in mild winters. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to reach back out to us, remember that we're here for you. Have a great day!

Can you recommend a blueberry that will grow good in containers and can grow in winter inside?

High bush blueberries can withstand extreme cold. I grew mine in half whiskey barrels in Idaho with no problems.

can I grow this in the big pot instead of to the ground?

Yes. Mixture of pine bark fines, sphagnum peat moss and a little perlite.

What size raised bed would I need for 3 blueberry plants?

Soil beds of 8 to 12 inches high and 2 to 5 feet wide work well for most blueberry bushes. Ideally, mounds should be set about eight feet apart to allow for root spreading and above-ground maintenance.

Which blueberry variety can grow here in Philippines?

Unfortunately we do not have any information on what is or is not compatible in the growing areas internationally.

Can I plant O'neal berries in the ground in late October?

Yes I like fall planting to jump start spring growth

I live in zone 7a but right near a river so it gets colder than the rest of my city. Can I plant these blueberries in a grow box? Our boxes are taller than most so the roots will be above ground. Will it survive the cold?

I live in zone 7b before and the ground will freeze 🥶 ups Several inches or more 🙀 !, You will be asking for trouble in growing boxes ☠️ !. See if’s you can find a home 🏡 in the ground ?. Besides you will experience better growing results 😁 !.

Are your O’Neal blueberries and 20th century Asian pears both organic heirloom?

We raise our trees and plants as organically as we can. We do spray when necessary - primarily with biological/organic agents - to keep pests and diseases at bay in order to save a threatened crop, but you may raise the tree or plant as organically as you wish. Stark Bro’s does not knowingly grow or offer genetically engineered plants or trees (GMOs).

On average, how big are the berries?

Right now 5/2/25 they are 1/4" or 6mm.

Stark Brothers O'Neill blueberries are the best tasting blueberries I have ever tasted. I bought the first bush 22 years ago. It is big and healthy and I keep it pruned. The blueberries are luscious big thin skinned. The two I just purchased are doing well.
