Variety is difficult to find at grocery stores and this has the correct chill hours for my area. Also, Floyd Zaiger is famous for his amazing work with producing delicious fruit trees.

Would this be a pollinator for an Ozark Plum?

No It would not.

Would this work as a pollinator for an Ozark Plum?

No it will not.

We have a self populating plum tree.  Would this tree and the um help out for additional fruit?

The CotNCandy Aprium is a 75% apricot hybrid which is self pollinated and has 400 chill hours, if you are looking for a pollination partner, an apricot or another variety of Aprium with similar chill requirements would be best suited for cross pollination. In my experience the CotNCandy Aprium is an exceptionally vigorous and fast growing tree that is a great addition to any Orchard.

Can Cot-N-Candy Aprium been pollinated by Summer Delight Aprium?

We appreciate you reaching out to us. Apriums are self pollinating and do not require another variety to bear fruit. However planting a second variety will increase your crop yield.

When you say "plant any variety to increase your crop",do you mean any other aprium? Can any other apricot or plum also cross pollinate this self pollinating aprium to increase the crop yield? Thanks!

An aprium is mostly apricot so it would need to be paired with either another aprium or an apricot for extra pollen.

You can use any variety because they are self pollinating planting a second of any kind will just increase crop yeild, so choose one you really like in flavor.

Cotton candy
Very live tree. Planted in a huge pot, I'll be taking with me when I retire. It rained 3 weeks after I planted and it grew full and taller. So healthy. Can't wait to taste them.

Growing great!
The Cot-N-Candy is the leftmost tree in the pictures. I'm doing a high density planting sort of thing. I headed it back to about 2' to three buds I liked to grow the tree as an open center. I got the regrowth I wanted with three scaffold branches (I'm leaving some lower branches on for the first year). The tree grew to the ~6' I wanted and I've Summer pruned it twice, taking off a foot and a half of growth each time, to maintain it at that. Lots of flower buds appear to be developing on this year's growth, so hopefully lots of pretty flowers in the Spring and lots of delicious fruit shortly thereafter.

Another excellent purchase!
I can't believe how fast this tree is growing! At first I was excited to see how big and healthy the sapling was that they sent me. Compared to other online suppliers, Stark Bros. always gives me more bang for my buck. Now, I'm so excited to see how big it has gotten in just a few months! I can't wait to taste the fruits! Heads-up though. Japanese beetles LOVE the leaves of this tree. It will be important to stay vigilant in protecting it- especially when it's a young tree.

First year Cot-N-Candy Aprium Tree
Didn't get to see any blooms this year... but hopefully will next year.
The tree is healthy and growing.... budding out new leaves like crazy!
I ordered it late last year and they put me on the list for this year.... and sure enough, I
received and email that it was on it's way the early part of this Spring.
Love it so far!
