Description

The Star Ruby Grapefruit tree is a popular variety, noted for its deep, ruby colored fruit and prized for its juicy, sweet and acidic flavors. These grapefruits are round with smooth, yellow-orange colored skin that blushes when ripe.

Star Ruby Grapefruits are nearly seedless and are best enjoyed ripe and fresh. Perfect for juicing! The fruit is an excellent source of Vitamin C, Potassium and dietary fiber.

It originates from San Benito, Texas and is commercially popular in California. The tree grows well in coastal regions. In other parts of the country, the Star Ruby can be planted in a container and brought indoors during the cooler months.
