Size & Spacing

Mature Size

When your tree matures, it will be approximately 10 - 15' tall x 6 - 8' wide.

Recommended Spacing

We recommend spacing these trees 10 - 15' apart to ensure room for growth.

Pollination

This variety is self pollinating.

In many cases, you may still want to plant pollinating partners to increase the size of your crops, but with self-pollinating varieties doing so is optional. You'll get fruit with only one plant!

why is shipping prohibited to california?
estela s on Aug 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If you never tried to drive through a California check-point on any dusty road on California border, you just might have this type of question. They check the trunk of your car and ask you if you are transporting any vegetables or fruits or seeds and such.. serious business. If you have anything, you have to throw it out right there and then or turn around. Contamination with bad bugs and unwelcomed species in the state. That goes along with Proposition 64 and other weird things Californians made up. Some of it obviously makes sense, like invasive species of plants and of bugs and destruction of natural habitat by unwelcomed bugs.

Shipping to my zone says late November. Should I really plant a lemon tree in zone 8 in early winter? (Sorry if this is a dumb question - I don???t know anything, other than I really want a lemon tree)
Khor003 on Sep 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: We appreciate you reaching out to us. Because weather and soil conditions vary so much from year to year and even within your zone, it's best to think of your planting time as a range of favorable conditions instead of an exact time.

You can plant new plants and trees:
1) when the ground is not frozen.
2) when daytime temperatures are above freezing (32??F) and below 90??F.
3) when extreme weather (blizzard, hail, torrential rain, etc.) is not in the forecast. Be sure to keep plants watered if you're transplanting in warm and/or dry weather.
