Peach Trees
Peach Trees Buyer's Guide
Shop peach trees for sale and enjoy sweet, homegrown peaches from your own backyard. Growing peach trees is rewarding and surprisingly easy, and our varieties are selected for flavor, productivity, and reliability in many climates.
Our peach trees produce luscious fruit with soft skin and creamy flesh bursting with rich flavor. They’re perfect for fresh eating, canning, freezing, or baking into pies and cobblers. Nothing compares to the taste of a fully tree-ripened peach picked straight from your own garden.
Many of these varieties aren’t commonly found in grocery stores, which makes planting your own tree even more rewarding. Once established, your peach tree can provide delicious harvests summer after summer.
- Most of these trees produce Freestone Peaches — when you cut them open, the pit comes right out — so they’re easy to eat as a quick snack.
- Additionally, most of these trees bear yellow-fleshed peaches, but within this selection you will find trees bearing White-Fleshed Peaches
- There are also Heirloom Peach Trees within the selection.
To ensure success when growing peach trees at home, there are a few important things to consider before you buy a peach tree.
Zone Compatibility
Your climate plays an important role in whether a peach tree will produce fruit or even survive. Before ordering a tree, make sure its recommended hardiness zone range includes your area. Peach trees tend to grow most successfully in Zones 5-8, but we also offer Cold-Hardy Peach Trees for the cooler climates in parts of the north (Zone 4) and heat-tolerant varieties for the warmer climates in parts of the south and west (Zone 9).
Proper Pollination
While most of our peach trees are self-pollinating, we still recommend planting another variety in your yard for optimum fruit production. For the peach trees that do require pollination by a different variety, be sure to check the item description to see which pollinators our experts recommend. In those cases, the absence of proper pollination could cause your tree to produce poorly or to fail to bear fruit.
To help you choose the right pairing, explore our Fruit Tree Bloom Time & Pollination Charts to find compatible peach tree varieties that bloom at the same time for reliable cross-pollination.
Mature Tree Size
Make sure you pick the right size peach tree for your space.
- Dwarf Peach Trees mature to be about 8-10' tall and wide. Even though they are smaller, they produce an abundance of full-size fruit.
- Semi-Dwarf Peach Trees mature to be about 12-15' tall and wide. They are perfect if you have a large space or want a multi-purpose shade tree.
