Description

Distinctive, rich flavor. This tree bears consistently heavy crops of heirloom plums. Fruit is juicy and delightfully tangy. Try it in homemade jams and jellies and you will never settle for another plum’s preserves. Tree is vigorous and hardy. Clingstone. Originates from Shropshire, England. Introduced to America in the late 1800s. Ripens in August. Self-pollinating.

Damsons
We planted this tree 4 to 5 years ago and this year I picked a multitude of damson plums! They are beautiful and the tree is healthy. I am organic so the lady bugs were very helpful this year and handling any aphid activity. If you love making preserves, this is the tree!

Robust, vigorous trees!
Fantastic trees! They have branched out beautifully and are healthy and robust. I ordered 6 damson trees from 3 nurseries to compare quality and the trees from Stark brothers outshine the others by orders of magnitude. Thank you!

Stay'n Alive
Damson tree's growing vigorously however the Moorpark apricot has nothing but a small growth a couple inches above the graft union. 90 percent of the top has dried up.

Damson Plum
This plant was absolutely great. It was small but hardy and in less than a year has grown 6 feet tall. The tree is hardy and survived a cold snowy winter here in Pasco, WA. This spring it began to grow and is now over 6 feet tall with 5 0r 6 center branches going straight up.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes plums. I understand it will be a year or more before it is fully productive.

Damson Plum
I would highly recommend a Damson Plum tree. We did have one for years
until it died. Damson make great preserves, a great liqueur (plum flum), and
eating fresh off the tree as well as many other uses.

Very good tree, but there is a local fungus that attacks fruit trees
This is not my 1st Damson Plum. The tree is growing well, but it is in danger of a black fungus that killed the original Damson Plum tree. The county agent said that the fungus is incurable and to destroy the tree, I have done that, but the fungus has attacked other trees in my neighborhood. Do you have any cures for thai black fungus?
