Description

Millennium Asparagus is a productive perennial garden plant that produces high-quality spears that are tender and delicious – your kids will be asking for more!

With excellent freezing quality, this versatile veggie can be used in salads, cooked, frozen, pickled, grilled, steamed, and added to stir fry. Asparagus is rich in vitamin B and C, calcium and iron.

Developed at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, this variety is cold-hardy and tolerant to harsh winters – but is also a top performer in hot harvesting seasons. You can be successful growing this vegetable in a wide range of soil types – even heavy clay. Millennium Asparagus is also rust-resistant, making it a low-maintenance plant to grow in the garden. This perennial can be enjoyed for 15-25 years with proper maintenance.

Great Results
All 10 crowns that I received are doing fantastic! Planted in mid-Feb., sprouts popped up early March. And now in May they have healthy looking ferns. Can't wait to harvest in year or two!

One week and already growing
Absolutely thrilled with these asparagus roots so far. I planted them about a week ago, and 50% of them have already sent up shoots. They're obviously very thin since they're so young, so it will be a few years until harvest. They're vigorous and healthy, and I am looking forward to them continuing to grow!

5 Stars - Robust Millennium Asparagus Crowns!
I purchased bare root Millennium asparagus crowns from StarkBros.com, and they arrived in excellent condition-plump, firm, and ready to plant. You can tell they were freshly packed and handled with care.

I planted them in a well-prepped bed, and they took off quickly! Within just a couple of weeks, I started seeing healthy green spears popping through. I chose Millennium for its cold hardiness and high yields, and so far, it's living up to the hype.

Very happy with Stark Bros once again-their bare root quality is top-notch, and these asparagus crowns are a strong start to what I hope will be a long-lasting asparagus patch.

All of my fruit trees and bushes have been Stark Bros. purchases and are doing very well.
For just being planted they seem to be doing well. I am hoping for some nice production of spears in a couple of years.

All plants are growing and happy!
All plants came up. They are really skinny, but I suppose that is to be expected the first year. I look forward to many years of delicious eating. One of the hardest parts was deciding where to plant them since they will be there for many seasons.
