Description

Attractive and aromatic! Provides interest for bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds while resisting deer. Fragrant flowers and foliage bring appeal to fresh and dried flower arrangements. Also an excellent choice for making your own lavender oil. This perennial plant comes back each spring with winter protection (like mulch). Use as a border plant or in mass plantings like meadow gardens. Even grows well in containers! Disease-resistant to common root and foliar issues. Heat-tolerant. Blooms emerge starting in late May/early June. May be covered by USPP #24,193 or other patents. (Lavandula × intermedia; Niko cv.)

Why did you choose this?

Love the benefits.

For the smell and benefits.

Lavender has a reputation for warding off mosquitoes. We've had rain nearly every day this spring and I have a bunch of berries to pick in a low area of my lot. Hopefully, this will help.

I needed something small that can tolerate full sun. Plus, I love the smell of lavender.

Arrived in good condition. Four very healthy plants. Planted couple days later. Growing and doing fine. Only concern was not to overwater since they like dry conditions. Got late August so awaiting for blooming in Spring.

Plants are healthy and growing well. It's not the blooming season, so I have nothing to report about aroma or color. They were a gift.

Great new Cultivar
Best variety of Lavendar for our zone (4-5) - actually pretty cold hardy. Ours do fine with limited sun at 6 hours/day on North side of house. Good stem and flowering; attractive to butterfly's and hummingbirds. Scent is a bit more modest than other traditional Lavendars. Clumps are very attractive as border and meld together well. After multiple failures with other Lavendar cultivars in same location e.g. Hidcote and traditional French, have succeeded with this variety. Recommend.

Great choice
A great lavender product that we have ordered for several years. Very hardy for the cold Iowa winters. If properly protected with mulch, the plant survives and thrives in the following years.
