I have some already and they are lovely. I also wanted a grass that doesn't reseed itself.

How fast, or slow, does this plant grow?
MaryLou P on Mar 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: MaryLou, the forest grass is amazing...I planted it on a slope in the yard due to possible runoff and it has definitely helped,,,,, my yardguy cut it back, and new growth has already started to appear on all 6 plants.... hopefully the plants will grow into what is pictured..... hope this helps, you should definitely get this product....

japanese grass
this was to be a planting on a small sloping area in the side yard,,,, not long after having the gardener plant the grass, they all turned a pale yellow and died...
the gardener did as instructed but for whatever reason the grass did not survive..
will try to find another solution for the slope...

Pretty addition
Slow growing but very pretty. I hope that they survive the New England winter.

All died within a few months
My yard looks like a Park, 3 fully landscaped acres so I am no novice here. I bought several of these grasses and planted them in a sunny location, in a garden bed that is very successful and I was hoping they would do well. All of them died, one within a month the others in 5 months. Plants were much smaller than I thought they would be when I ordered them. Very disappointed

A failure
I don't know what happened with this. I ordered three clumps that I thought would cover the base of my Japanese maple. It didn't grow at all the season it was planted. It didn't come up at all for the second season. I do want to say that this is the only Stark Bros. product that has been a complete flop

Golden Japanese Forest Grass
I bought the Japanese Forest Grass but it never took. I added some good soil to my clay to give it a better chance of taking but it never made it. The order arrived in a timely manner and packaged nicely. Maybe I needed to place it in a different location.

Received one healthy and one weaker plant
When the plants arrived one was clearly bigger/healthier than the other. We had never grown this plant before & and we're hoping they would both come back stronger this spring. Unfortunately only one came up again. Very sad considering the price. The grass itself is beautiful, maybe some inconsistency with the supplier.

Death by Texas morning sun.
These died no other answer, in morning sun, the coolest time in Texas mornings. I was sad for them.

A few blades for $$$
I felt the two little plugs I got were highly overpriced. Each one only had a few blades of grass each. I planted them and they were so puney, they made no difference in the landscape at all. Eventually, weeds overcame them.

Pretty grass -- without success
Not as hardy as I had hoped. It didn't survive the winter.

I never got to enjoy it
I orderd this last season. Even though I babied it and watered it often it didn't make come back this year. It was a waste of time and money.
