Can I grow Adams flowering crabapple in my Zone 7A ?
Sammy on Apr 27, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes, it's compatible with your growing zone. Beautiful tree. :-)
Can you eat the fruit?
Hinkle on Mar 23, 2017
BEST ANSWER: While all crabapples are edible, fruit of many ornamental crabapples (like this one) are not palatable without first cooking and sweetening the fruit. If you're looking for a truly edible crabapple, Whitney is a superior choice. It's also beautiful in the spring. Here's a link to the product page: //

Beautiful Crabapple Tree!
I'm very happy with this tree. I first read about it in a Better Homes & Gardens article about the best crabapple trees to plant. I bought it because the article said that it produces beautiful flowers and because it holds its fruit much later in the year than other crabapples, making it a good food source for the birds. It flowered this year and the flowers were a beautiful deep pink color. It has leafed out well and is very healthy. Looking forward to watching it mature and grow!

These trees are really hardy! They made it through a cold New England winter and even survived some deer browsing on them. They are going to flower in the next week or so and I can't wait to see how pretty they look. I would totally recommend these to anyone. Love them.
