Description

Light up the spring! A weeping version of one of our most popular native trees. Twisting, horizontal branches are cloaked in velvet, neon-pink blooms in spring. Heart-shaped leaves turn golden in fall. Cold-hardy. Grows 5-7 feet tall. Plant trademark is under license from Brotzman’s Nursery.

At what year age should you not have to cover the lavender twist in 30 below temperatures?

As a young plant, It was necessary to protect the small tree from snow and lower temperatures during the winter months.

Is it best to plant the lavender twist in or out of the arrival pot?

You would want to remove it from its temporary pot and plant in to something more permanent.

Do they have seedpods like regular redbuds?

Yes, they do. They stay on through the winter.

The Lavender Twist Redbud is listed here for Zones 4-7. However, elsehwere it is listed for zones 5-9. Does anyone know if it will make it in zones 8b-9a?

I got these right in the ground upon arrival.
One of them grew a few leaves before the cold weather set in.
