is this a good tree for pollinating other apple varieties?
bill s on Feb 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Snowdrift is indeed a good pollinator for other apple varieties, as long as the bloom time is similar. Snowdrift also has good disease resistance to cedar apple rust and mildew.
Is there a fragrance to the blossoms, if so how strong is it?
Ann k on Jan 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They're not highly fragrant, but you may notice a light, sweet scent (almost rose-like) while the tree is blooming if you're near it.

An impressive landscape tree
Many years ago I purchased two of these from another nursery, then could not locate any for many years. In early May they are an incredible show of white flowers that last for several weeks if there is no rain. In the fall they produce an orange berry that attracts swarms of robins, flickers, cedar waxwings and some pileated woodpeckers. Give them plenty of open space. I plan to order more.
