Sweetbay Magnolia Tree
Description
Excellent choice to plant near patios. This is a very elegantly shaped small tree that has glistening dark green leaves with a silver underside. Prefers acidic soil and can tolerate moist soil. The Sweetbay Magnolia grows with a multi-trunk but can be trained with a single trunk. A late bloomer, avoiding damaging spring frost, that flowers best when planted in full sun. The creamy white flowers have a light lemon fragrance.
