Description

(Seed-grown) The American Chestnut is back, and we’ve got it for you! We nearly lost the real American Chestnut during the ‘40s, so we had to develop a blight-resistant type hybrid by crossing American and Chinese chestnuts. This created a superior nut in size and taste. These nuts are high in protein and carbohydrates and low in fat. Choose the Revival™ (U.S. Plant Patent #5537) variety and pollinate with a Dunstan Hybrid pollinator tree. Plant one of each or pollinate Revival with a Chinese chestnut. Nuts mature in mid-September in Zone 5.
