Watering Rhubarb Plants

Rhubarb needs consistent watering. It’s a good idea to keep the soil moist around the plant. When watering rhubarb, keep these points in mind:

  • Water your plants at their base; otherwise, wet foliage may encourage pest and disease problems to develop.
  • Mulching around the plant will help retain moisture in the soil.
