This collection can help revive the memories of days gone by, foraging in the blueberry patch. These selections look to do all this, and more. Impressive plants, impressive production, Stark Brothers.

Each variety was compatible with my growing zone (4B - Colorado mountains) and I was looking for a good collection to provide berries consistently throughout the season. Hoping this will be a good collection and cold hardy due to our harsh winters.

Are these high bushes or the low growing ones?
Heather C on Feb 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: These are high bush berries. The plants are relatively small when received, about 12 inches tall, but they survived the nh winter just fine and each plant had berries the second year. I expect a lot of growth this growing season.
Which blueberry variety produces the smallest berry?

Elizabeth J on Sep 17, 2017
BEST ANSWER: i had one bush produce the same year as planted. The rest haven't produced as yet.

Growing just fine
I purchased the smaller pots and the plants are doing fine. However, if I had to do it over again I would purchase the 1 gallon plants.

Blueberry assortment
My blueberry bushes survived the severe winter of 2017-2018. Even the plant Starks brothers sent me as a replacement because I ran over the first one with my lawn mower survived. I will continue to do business with this company. I can’t wait for my blueberry bushes to get large enough to produce.

Fruit earlier than expected
I planted the collection around May 2017 with the Pink Lemonade bush dying due to mishandling by the shipping company. Late in the fall, I finally accepted the reality and reported the situation to Stark Bros. They quickly sent a new bush which is doing just fine, it flowered but didn't fruit this year (2018). The Patriot and Elliott varieties did flower and fruit and the berries were delicious. I was expecting to have to wait until 2019 for the first berries, but was surprised. I will say I ordered a second Pink Lemonade bush to help my existing one fruit in the coming years. It seems like in my zone 6a, the Pink Lemonade bush flowers too late compared to Elliott and Patriot to get properly pollinated. Of course, it may just not have been ready to carry fruit yet as it is still a young bush.

Overall, I am very happy with the purchase of this collection and look forward to the bushes really filling out the area next to my back deck where I can enjoy their spring and early summer flowers.

Healthy, hardy plants
These plants have already surpassed previous plantings from other vendors. I'd like to add more.
