I hope will be good pollinator for Jersey Blueberry

When planting a blue berry bush in a container, how large should the container be?

I use containers no less than 18" to give the roots plenty of room.

does this variety tolerate heat and humidity?

I live in zone 7, with some hot & humid days in the summer. Darrow and other, blueberries did fine in light soil with no additional watering once established.

Is this rabbiteye?

Hello, I’m looking for 5 Darrow blueberry plants to add to my patch. How old are your plants for sale? Do you have 3 year old or older that will bare fruit in summer?

Hi Jon, Our plants are young, approx. 6 months to a year old. Unfortunately, we do not sell older plants at this time. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to reach back out to us, remember that we're here for you. Have a great day!

What would be a good pollinating partner for Darrow blueberry? Any variety, or are specific ones better?

Almost any other variety of blueberries should be a good cross pollinator for the Darrow.

I ordered 4 Hybrid Willow tree last year. 3 lived on one died. I want to order 2 blue berry bushes and was wondering if I could get a replacement with my next order?. Please advise by email. Thanks.

we bought Darrow from Starkbros in spring of 2018 came as a stick of a tiny plant now @2 yrs it have grown @1 1/2 ft with 3 strong canes and loaded with flower buds. You can try Chandler too, big berries. Patriot , you will not be disappointed

I know they’re self fertile, but can do better with cross pollination. What would be some other SOUTHERN highbush variety that you would recommend for zone 8b central Alabama?

Hi. We planted a Darrow blueberry along with a chandler, patriot and Jersey variety. All seem to do well together. Been growing together for 2 seasons so far and going strong!

Do you sell blueberry plants that are resistant to Witch's Broom? I live in Maine in zone 5A and of course Maine has a lot of fir trees.

To the best of my knowledge we do not have any resistant to that disease.

I've heard Rabbiteye is a good variety....do you sell that type.?

Yes we do offer the Rabbit eye variaties. Please follow thi slink to view https://www.starkbros.com/search?q=rabbit+eye+blueberry

Are these plants Darrow's blueberries as in Vaccinium darrowii or the highbush Vaccinium corymbosum 'Darrow' cultivar?

Genus: Vaccinium
Species: corymbosum
Cultivar: Darrow

I have only had this bush growing for one season but they have really taken off. I'm becoming very biased with buying items everything I buy from Stark's out preforms all other's.
Excellent quality and vigorous growth.

Still going strong....
I planted the Darrow Blueberry Bush along with several other bushes when we first bought our house in 2008. It has survived a massive flood, little boys robbing it, and drought. On the good years, it produces quarter sized berries or bigger with fabulous flavor. I'm strongly considering ripping out the other bushes and replacing them as I had purchased those others at a local store and they have not done nearly so well.
