Sweetheart Blueberry Plant
Description
An early season blueberry with rave reviews! This vigorous Northern-Southern cross produces a heavy crop of sweet, juicy, berries early in the blueberry season — and, in mild areas, a lighter second crop develops later that same year. Yields up to 15 pounds per plant. Developed in 1999, introduced in 2010. Cold-hardy. First crop ripens in late May to early June. Second crop ripens in August. Self-pollinating.

Questions & Answers
Thank you for your question. The age and size information for our blueberries is as follows: 4” pot: 6-12 months old and 4” tall; Small gallon container: 2 years old and 12” tall. Our blueberries will typically take 2-3 years after planting to reach maturity and bear fruit.
all the blueberry bush leaves turn red if they are hit with a cold snap as mine are starting red this spring because of cold weather.
There are no thorns on this Blueberry Bush. By the way, I have a two year old plant that is already producing like crazy for me.
Nope. None! Nada! Stark's is all organic, natural fertilizers, etc.
Yes, this variety is compatible in zones 4-8.
Its best to plant blueberries that are in bloom at the same time as each other. The Jubilee is a mid-season bloomer and so I would recommend either the Bluecrop or Blueray. The Misty and O'Neal bloom too early and the Sweetheart blooms too late.
Unfortunately, at this time we cannot ship products outside the United States, or to Hawaii.
We appreciate you reaching out to us. Our blueberries are approx. 1 year old when shipped.
If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to reach back out to us. Have a great day!
No, you will not get a crop the first year, but it is worth waiting. We have some Sweetheart blueberries that we planted about 8 years ago and they are outstanding producers.
I believe so. My daughter is growing a different strain in containers. As a general rule, I do not grow most things in containers as I've learned I get 2-3 times the yields when growing in the ground.
