Red Fuji Apple Tree
Description
About the Red Fuji Apple Tree
The Red Fuji Apple offers the classic Fuji flavor gardeners love, with deeper red striping and excellent storage ability. This improved Fuji selection produces crisp, juicy apples with a sweet, aromatic bite that holds up beautifully long after harvest.
Unlike earlier Fuji types, Red Fuji develops more pronounced red striping rather than a light blush, giving the fruit a bold, eye-catching appearance. The apples ripen late in the season, typically in late October, and are prized for their exceptional keeping quality, storing up to 12 months under proper refrigeration.
Red Fuji apples are best known for fresh eating, but their firm texture also makes them a solid choice for baking, cooking, and canning. The tree shows some resistance to apple scab and performs well in home orchards when paired with a compatible pollinator.
This Nagafu 6 cultivar is a mutation of the original Fuji apple and was selected for improved color and dependable performance, while preserving the sweet flavor and crisp texture that made Fuji famous. Pollinator required. Choose another apple variety for best fruit set.
