How Disease resistant is this red delicious variety?

Any fruit tree can be susceptible to disease, depending upon the weather conditions and how it's cared for (or not cared for). An apple tree that has some resistance to mildew may suffer severe mildew damage if the temperature is 90º with very high humidity and low winds every day for a long stretch.

While it's not possible to specifically say how much resistance a given tree has to a given disease, under average conditions, Starkrimson® Red Delicious does have some resistance to mildew and fireblight, and is very resistant to cedar apple rust.

Will a Granny Smith be an adequate pollinators for a Red Delicious?

Does it taste like the red disgusting from the grocery store, ore more like the original before selection for shipping traits?

I can attest that they are COMPLETELY different. I dislike with a passion the grocery store red delicious apples. My tree's apples are absolutely amazing - crisp, sweet, crunchy, juicy. Not mealy like the store! You won't be disappointed. I am such a fan of this apple tree that I have 4 on an in-town lot.

Will they produce apples within a year?

Generally it will take 3-4 years before there is any measurable fruit from the tree provided the tree is well kept and properly fertilized and maintained.

which other 8-10 foot dwarf apple trees are good pollinator for honey crisp dwarf?

Thank you for your question! The Stark® Golden Delicious Apple Tree is an excellent pollinator for a dwarf Honeycrisp apple tree. Just be sure the trees you're looking at all bloom around the same time and are planted within 50–100 feet of each other for the best pollination results.
