Holiday Avocado Tree
Description
Transform your garden into a lush, green paradise with the Holiday Avocado tree! This delightful avocado variety is not just a visual treat but also a bountiful source of delicious, creamy avocados perfect for any culinary creation. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a beginner, the Holiday Avocado tree is the ideal addition to your outdoor space.
Holiday Avocado Trees are Guatemalan A-type avocado trees that are highly productive. The fruit is pear-shaped, about 18-24 oz., and holds to the tree very well. Named Holiday because the fruit ripens between Labor Day and New Year’s Day, this avocado variety ensures you enjoy fresh avocados throughout the holiday season.
Perfect for small gardens and patios, this tree typically grows to a manageable height of 12-18 feet, making it an excellent choice for container planting. Enjoy a prolific harvest of large, buttery avocados from late fall to early spring. The fruit is known for its rich, creamy texture and nutty flavor, making it a favorite for guacamole, salads, and toast toppings.
Avocado trees are self-pollinating, and you’ll get a nice harvest with just one tree. They don’t require another variety to produce fruit. However, having a Type A and Type B avocado tree increases production. Planting it near another avocado tree can maximize your fruit production. Avocados are a superfood, packed with essential nutrients like healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. Adding fresh, homegrown avocados to your diet can boost your health and wellness. With its glossy, dark green leaves and attractive shape, the Holiday Avocado tree adds a touch of tropical elegance to any garden or patio.

While established trees can tolerate temperatures as low as 28–32°F with minimal damage, young trees and recently top-worked trees may be killed by temperatures that only cause minor damage to mature trees. To protect young trees, you can bring them indoors during the winter months if you're growing them in a container.
