Very Pleased
I bought 3 different mulberry trees to plant in the chicken yard to give the chickens shade and snacks. They have done well and I am very pleased. I have to admit that I was tardy in getting them planted and still they did well and continue to do so. I have had no disease issues with them, either.

Mulberry Tree
I planted our Mulberry Tree in our yard in Southern Alabama just minutes from Wolf Bay and the Gulf. It has been growing more each year and currently covered with berries, it is about 6 foot 6 inches tall, we are very pleased with the tree and look forward to eating the fruit. Thanks again

Yummy berries
The tree had some berries the first year, but the year after the berries didn't ripen all the way and fell off. The tree is great, so I blame the weather this year.

Very healthy, vigorous plant. Grew two feet the first summer and even set fruit. I want more but as yet don't know where to put them. Hope the mulberry will distract birds from my cherries.

Already Growing
I just planted the little twig that came a few months ago and it already has lovely little leaves on it. It also shows, what looks like, little berries style growths? Already? I don't know but I love the beauty of this tree when it's gown and I'll get luscious fruit plus nice shade in the yard. Let's see what it does in the summer heat.

One is fine and one died over the winter
In Zone 9 with a mild winter, one of my trees died at 1.5 years and the other one is fine with beautiful leaves. I am looking forward to my fruit this year, at least a little of it.

sweet lavender mulberry died
The sweet lavender mulberry I purchased died midsummer - not sure what happened, as the Asian pears and Illinios mulberry all looked great. I pulled the dead mulberry plant out in early september, and repotted it, hoping there might be some life left in the root (I have a grape vine that "died", but I left in a pot on the porch, then saw it sprout the following spring, so I am cautiously optimistic the mulberry might come back to life).

Nice tree
A little expensive, but Starks has good customer service and a hassle free replacement guarantee. I have 3 left of 5 that I purchased. Take Starks zone compatibility with a grain of salt and consider if you may have microclimate issues. I'm in 5b according to the calculator, but there is still frosts throughout May and as early as mid August. The early and late frosts have been pretty hard on these mulberries but they are 2years in the ground here and 5-6 feet tall now, bearing pretty well.
