Description

This native American tree was extensively used by Native American Indians and early settlers alike, and you’ll find it’s leaves and bark not only attractive but fragrant when broken or crushed. Fast growing and hardy, Sassafras growes easily in well-drained, nearly neutral soil and full sun to partial shade. The large, multi-shaped leaves add interest, as well as the flowers, which are attractive to bees. The fall fruits will attract songbirds. Potted plant.
