About German Chamomile Plants

Bring the soothing scent of chamomile to your garden with our German Chamomile plants! These beautiful plants not only look stunning in any garden or balcony, but they also provide delicate, fragrant flowers that can be used for teas, oils, and other remedies. This German Chamomile produces good yields of small, sweet smelling, daisy-like flowers.

Harvest the flowers as soon as they bloom by gently pulling the petals off the flower head. You can then dry the petals for use in teas, oils, and other remedies. Chamomile is commonly used as a medicinal plant for its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-allergenic, and sedative properties.

I planted it in a large pot and it is a bountiful bloomer. I pick the blooms and they keep coming back. I wanted to order one for my daughter but they were out of stock. My mother used to give us chamomile tea when we were sick so decided to try it.

They did great when we first planted but between the flooding rains of late spring and then the jump right into the summer heat, they did not make it. Unless they come back from the root and they did not have enough blooms to reseed, I'm calling it a fail and I'm very sad about it. We were looking forward to growing our own chamomile tea.
