Why did you choose this?

It's beautiful!

English lavender for culinary use

I wanted lavender. This plant looks fabulous.

It smells so good!!!

How many months does this typically bloom in zone 9a?

About two months. Lavender should be planted in April. Once the plants are settled in the ground they will grow slowly the first year, but most of them will bloom. Most varieties start blooming in May or June, and you will enjoy the blooming from 4 weeks up to 2 or even three months.

Is this a culinary lavender?

Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead' should be a culinary variety, though I have not consumed it. Very much enjoy the fragrance though.

Is this lavender deer, ground hog, and rabbit resistant?

Mine is in the open and I have all three of those pests in my yard regularly. They all seem to leave it alone.

Can lavender be grown in container?

You can grow almost anything in a container! This excellent article will answer your questions and provide good advice. Please see "Growing Fruit Trees in Containers" //www.starkbros.com/growing-guide/article/fruit-trees-in-containers-pt1

How large can I expect the lavender to get in the first year?

Munstead lavender is compact and grows slowly typically only reaching about 12 inches in the first growing season.

How many plants?

That will depend upon which option you choose. Please see the "Choose an option" dropdown menu near the top of the page, which will show you the various sizes/options that are available. But this only includes 1 plant
