Not all rhubarbs were available. No special reason except the fact it was new to Stark I guess maybe swayed me.

I want Canada Red Rhubarb that has not be sprayed with any pesticides, nor herbicides, nor anything like that. I want to grow Canada Red Rhubarb without that stuff from the very beginning of the plant's life.
James M on Feb 22, 2019
Hopefully because of spring crop potential and low sugar recipe use.

Will rhubarb grow in a pot and if so what size pot?
Carl H on Apr 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I have grown it in bushel size pots with good success.
Can rhubarb be eaten the first year of growth?
Kathy D on Apr 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It should not. Rhubarb should never be cut in its first year. The plant needs leaf growth for its first winter and may not survive without it. Even in the second year, only harvest for 1 or 2 weeks. After that, you can cut as much as you want, only not too far into the fall.
Do deer eat rhubarb? Should I fence it or not?
Bret S on May 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Deer tend to steer clear of anything with oxalic acid in it (rhubarb, swiss chard, peanut tops, etc.) It upsets their digestive system.
When are you going to have more Rhubarb?
Daniel B on Apr 23, 2020
BEST ANSWER: The rhubarb I purchased from stark bros had no planting instructions, and was impossible to determine the root bottom from the stalk tips, so it was a gamble to plant correctly. 3 of the 4 roots did nothing, one came up. So did I plant them correct, or were the roots no good? I planted them in a freshly tilled bed with manure added when I tilled ,the day I received them. I am an accomplished gardener. We bought 2 rhubarb plants from walmart, they're doing just fine. I just wish there had been some descriptive instructions with the starks rhubarb so they could've been planted correct.
I have a Black Walnut tree growing nearby. Will its roots/leaves effect rhubarb growth?
Spence on Dec 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: the juglone from black walnut trees will kill rhubarb
What location should I plant, full sun, shade, morning or afternoon sun??
Mary P on Aug 5, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Rhubarb always does best in full sun.
Does this come as bareroot or as a larger plant in a pot?
Lindsay V on Jun 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: This is bare-root. There are 2 plants per order.
Does this rhubarb have a tangy taste or just sweet?
Teresa H on May 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the rhubarb has a tangy taste, but it is sweeter than past rhubarb we've had. I also believe it cooks up finer than past rhubarb...more like applesauce.
Is the fruit inside of stalk red as well?
Doris G on Mar 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It's red yes. Canada Red rhubarb is quite a bit redder than most varieties.

Canada Red Rhubarb
I bought this product last year and planted as instructed in May. Per instructions, it was not recommended to harvest any rhubarb last year. This year both crowns have already have taken off growing and look very healthy. I can't wait to pick some rhubarb.
I would recommend buying the Canada Red Rhubarb. So far it is doing very well.

This is a fast growing rhubarb. It is one of the best taking rhubarbs I have ever eaten. It is not bitter as many other varieties. Yes, I would recommend this rhubarb!

Rhubarb did not survive.I'm hoping it was weather conditions and not the roots. the roots looked good but did not grow. This is why I gave a 3 star.

The bulbs were big but never grew
I was so excited to try these. The bulbs or whatever they are called were big and healthy looking. I planted them, and they never grew. I have a regular Victoria rhubarb around the same area of my yard, and that plant grows like a weed and looks great. I planted it from a plant that I bought, so it was not bulb when I planted it.
