Questions & Answers
If you are speaking strictly about this crabapple, no; it is not a fruiting tree. Almost all apple trees need a pollinator, and fruiting crabapple trees serve as good partners as long as the two trees have a similar bloom time.
We recommend that you allow 25' between the trees. What a gorgeous "fence" that would be!
Yes, they are suitable for pickling. We even have an article about pickling crabapples: crabapple pickling: //www.starkbros.com/growing-guide/article/homemade-pickled-crabapples
Yes they will. I have a three foot fence around the tree to deter the deer.
However the tree is a fast grower and in a few years I plan to remove the fence.
I really do enjoy the look of the tree as it flowered in the first year. I hope this helps, and good luck.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to us! Unfortunately all the information I have on flowering crabapple trees is that they are messy in the fall. I'm sure each variety maybe a little different, however I don't have anything to support that. You may try reaching out to your County's extension to see what they've seen in your local area. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate yeah, have a great day!
Crabapple trees live to be approx. 30-70 years old.
Yes this should pollinate your apple tree..
