White Flowering Dogwood Tree
Description
Talk about a spring show stopper! You’ll be dazzled with these snowy white four-petaled flowers. Trees burst into bloom in spring, smothering tree boughs in a cloud of blossoms. Even impatient gardeners will be satisfied; very young trees fill to the brim with flowers. Trees grow to 15 to 25 feet with a spread of about 10 feet. Beautiful lining a driveway or as a front yard tree. Enjoys partial shade, so you can plant it under larger trees.

Questions & Answers
Mine is still alive, but did not flower at all this spring. I'm not sure why, I thought it was odd that there was no flowering, because it's almost five foot tall. ???
The redbud can grow to 35' wide; the dogwood 10-12' wide. Dogwoods are great under-canopy trees, so it depends upon how close you want them to be. A minimum distance from trunk to trunk would be 15' if you want the redbud to overhang the dogwood (beautiful!!). If you want them to be separate and distinct (next to each other), you would plant them a minimum of 20' apart.
These should be planted a minimum of 15' away from the house; 20' or more would be better.
No it is flowering tree and doe snot produce fruit. Only one tree is needed for blooms.
Dogwoods are forest understory trees that grow best in partially shady sites with regular moisture and an annual application of organic matter such as leaf compost. Disease-resistant cultivars are available and reduce the chances of problems such as powdery mildew and spot anthracnose. However the variety we offer I do not believe shows any signs of resistance.
Stark brother trees are 2 years of age at shipping.
I bought this tree with the idea in mind that is just what you have questioned, however, this is the 2nd season for this tree and it hasn't bloomed yet.
You can grow almost anything in a container! This excellent article will answer your questions and provide good advice. Please see "Growing Fruit Trees in Containers" //www.starkbros.com/growing-guide/article/fruit-trees-in-containers-pt1
This item is prohibited from shipping to your location because the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Plant Protection and Quarantine Program (USDA APHIS PPQ) and the plant health agencies in each of the 50 states, regulate the shipment of nursery and greenhouse stock in an effort to minimize the spread of harmful insects, diseases, and other pests.
Dogwoods can be planted in full sun or partial shade, though partial shade is best (morning sun in particular). Dogwoods are typically an understory tree in the wild.
