Description

Monterey Horticulture Oil is a certified organic spray for year-round use. Effective, mineral-based defense for roses, vegetables, small fruits, nut trees, fruit trees, and more. This odorless horticultural oil can be used as a dormant control in the winter or as a great topical fungicide during the growing seasons. Can be applied up to the day of harvest.

Controls overwintering eggs, larvae, and nymphs of common garden pests (mites, scale, leafhoppers, aphids, psyllids, thrips, etc.) and diseases like black spot, powdery mildew, and rust.

Always read and follow label directions.

Is this a good spray for the lawn for moss in the Northwest?
Roger H on Feb 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure, because the label doesn't mention any application directions for use on lawns. Because it is a violation of Federal Law to use the product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling, I'd have to recommend finding a spray that is specifically intended for use on lawns to control moss.

BEST ANSWER: Actually, I prefer NEEM oil, as it is far better for my certified naturally grown grower status.
How effective is this product on Japanese Beetles and Stink Bugs?
MATTHEW R on Jun 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Horticultural/dormant oil works by suffocating overwintering pests in trees as well as their eggs and larvae. Pests like Japanese beetles don't overwinter in trees (they come up from the ground), so this may not be the most effective spray for your needs. I'd suggest a pest control that works on contact, like GardenTech?? Sevin?? Bug Killer, instead.

Arrived too late to use
I ordered this when my fruit trees were still dormant, by the time it arrived (about a month) they had blooms on them. I guess I can use it next winter.
