Monterey Complete Disease Control
Description
Monterey Complete Disease Control isn’t a traditional fungicide — it’s a biological one. The active ingredient is Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain D747, a naturally occurring beneficial bacteria that colonizes plant root hairs and establishes itself within the plant’s system, providing ongoing disease prevention from within rather than just surface protection from without. OMRI-listed and meeting USDA National Organic Program standards, it controls powdery mildew, rust, leaf blight, brown rot, leaf spots, anthracnose, gray mold, and other diseases across the full range of home garden plants — and it’s safe to apply right up to harvest day.
Biological Disease Control — Living Protection That Colonizes Plant Roots
The distinction between biological and chemical fungicides is meaningful. When Monterey Complete Disease Control is applied as a soil drench, the beneficial bacteria go straight to the roots, establish themselves in the root hair zone, and grow — creating an ongoing biological barrier against disease-causing fungi and bacteria that persists and self-renews rather than degrading as chemical treatments do. That colonization of root hairs is a unique protective mechanism that no synthetic fungicide can replicate.
Broad Disease Coverage — Spray or Drench
Monterey Complete Disease Control applies two ways: as a foliar spray for above-ground disease prevention and control on fruit, foliage, and flowers; or as a root drench for soil-borne disease protection. The broad coverage includes powdery mildew, rust, leaf blight, brown rot, leaf spots, anthracnose, gray mold, and additional diseases listed on the label — across houseplants, tropical plants, vegetables, fruit trees, ornamentals, lawns, flowers, and bedding plants.
OMRI-Listed — Use to Harvest
Monterey Complete Disease Control meets USDA National Organic Program standards and is OMRI-listed for certified organic gardening programs. No pre-harvest interval — apply up to and including the day of harvest for season-long protection right through to the table.
