Would this help my 8 year old walnuts (Lake & Champion) to produce? Am using organic 6-3-2 1 x per year is not working...

BEST ANSWER: A number of years ago, I had two dwarf pear trees that weren't doing much. I bought a 5 lb bag of triple phosphate and put the whole bag around the two trees. It was such a shock that the trees blossomed in June and grew about 4 feet that summer. I recently purchased a bag of Bonide T.S.P. to use on a potted orange tree. The tree is about ten years old (good size) and has not produced an orange. So far no success with the T.S.P. , but I am a little unsure of the amount, because it is in a large pot. I am going to increase the amount and see what happens. That is my experience.
Is this recommended for mature apple trees? Is so how would you apply?
Jack's Jungle on Mar 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Apply evenly out to the drip edge. The amount to apply would really depend upon your most recent soil test results.
Is this good for lawns?
Paul C on Apr 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I do not use a high phosphate fertilizer on my lawn. It is a hazard to water runoff and a potential pollutant. Phosphate promotes algal blooms in surface water. I use triple super phosphate for flowering bulbs and root crops like onion and shallots. I feed my lawn with a high nitrogen low phosphorus content fertilizer.
Is this for roses?
