Stark recommended it for my Honeycrisp trees that are finally producing after 10 years. I got the trees from a local county extension sale - I wish I would have gotten them from Stark. I think the ones I got are not the best, but finally I have a lot of blossoms.

LethaH on Apr 19, 2016
It just makes good sense to feed the trees when you are asking them to produce tons of fruit every year. This is an economical way to feed the trees what they need to produce.

Would this be applied to very young trees, or just once they mature to fruit bearing age?
Kacie L on Mar 21, 2016
You should have no problems using NutriCal on very young trees as long as you follow the directions on the container. NutriCal is prepared with water and sprayed on the foliage of a tree.

when do you spray Nutrical on apple tree?
Jack J on Jan 25, 2018
BEST ANSWER: What is the pink stage?
Is it good for heavy clay soil?
Yamou on Oct 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: NutriCal is a FOLIAR product. That means you SPRAY it on the tree or plant's leaves. Therefore the type of soil is irrelevant. NutriCal has calcium in it, My citrus trees are frequently calcium deficient. The deficiency is seen by a yellowing of the leaves. Spraying the tree leaves with NutriCal gets rid of the calcium deficiency and the yellow leaves. Its a good product but since you spray it on the leaves, the soil type does not matter. Least that's my opinion. My soil is sandy.

What should I do to help my paw paw trees make it thru the winter in ohio?
Rick M on Sep 21, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They should be fine as long as whichever varieties you have are zoned for your area. You can mulch the roots and if they are facing stiff north winds over the winter, set up a burlap fence to protect them from wind damage.
I have a honey crisp apple tree. I have had it maybe 5 years now. It struggles every year to even show any growth or new leaves. Tried some different fertilizer nothing seems to help. Any ideas on what to try? Thanks
Peter C on May 7, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I would first purchase a soil test kit to determine levels of N, K, P and pH. Then figure out what deficiencies you have and address from there. Also, you should be pruning when dormant and ensure there is adequate light and water.

NutriCal looks worthy
I'm retired and have had quad bypass. My Cardy says stay active. I moved to a coastal house in Florida. I now grow citrus and other "productive" trees like almonds and olives on my house's small land spots. I grow my trees in essentially sand and have to fertilize....a lot. My citrus trees frequently have yellow spotted leaves which is a sign of either bad watering or calcium deficiency. I think I water satisfactorily. I lime the trees a lot but the ground lime is probably leaching through the sandy soil (I do try to build up better dirt by slowly adding moisture control dirt around the trees so the top soil isn't so sandy) I've been looking for a foliar applied fertilizer with a good dose of calcium. Bought Nutrical as soon as Stark Bros informed me and applied it as soon as I got it....earlier this month. Trees are responding well. My key lime and other citrus put out new flowers, right after application. My mango quickly put out new leaves. The leaf yellow has gone down. I'll be giving my trees another application in a few weeks. If you got citrus trees with yellow spotted leaves, give Nutrical a try......I think you will be pleased. By the way, I give other plants like blueberry bushes, fronds, hybiscus a foliar dose, too. They seemed to like Nutrical, too.

Colorado is strange when it comes to weather. We had a warm spell and the fruit trees were leafing out. Then the killing frost hit. it hit my cherry tree which was established , the hardest.
i checked it in the am and was really discouraged, but thought i would spray it with the Nutrica any how.
I know it sounds strange but it revived the tree and its soon to be putting out some cherries.
