Quick Tip to Make Your Cherry Harvest Last Longer
Here's a little quick tip on how to make your cherry harvest last longer! When your cherries are ripe and ready to be picked, they'll easily pull from the stem. But, if you want them to last a bit longer, you should harvest them with the stem on.
Why? When you break the skin of a cherry (or any fruit, for that matter) it will start to decay faster. You'll have longer-lasting fruit by keeping the stem (and skin) intact. Be sure to store them refrigerated in an air-tight container for best results.
