Description

This unique blueberry is becoming very popular because its foliage resembles Eucalyptus. It also produces very large, sweet, pineapple flavored berries! The leaves have hints of silver throughout the spring and early summer. In the fall, its leaves turn a deep emerald green shade. The Silver Dollar™ would be a stunning show for a sunny patio or garden. Ripens in July and again in October. Self-pollinating. May be covered by USPP #32,184 or other patents. ‘ZF06-089’ cultivar.

Potted plants and trees should be moved in to an unheated garage or basement so the roots do not freeze over the winter. Do not let them dry out, make sure soil is moist typically give them a drink once every 2- 3 weeks or if the soil is dry to touch 1 inch down.

Slow grower w/ pretty foliage
Be sure to have soil with good drainage, proper acid Ph levels, & to keep it consistently moist. This one is a slow grower compared to the peach sorbet & the pink icing. But, it has been growing! First time growing blueberries & still on my first year so I haven't had a chance to try the berries yet. But, overall a slow grower w/ pretty foliage. Also, packaging was thoughtful & secure for all the plants I ordered.

No fruit yet - only year two, but plant is thick with foliage, healthy & strong!
Only year two for our blueberry bush, but it is strong and healthy with thick with limbs and leaves and looks lovely next to our gardenia bushes.

We plan to prune it a bit this fall and will wait for it to start producing fruit in year three.
It has a good start and is going strong the past two years in the grow bag pot we have it in.
(Using a grow bag since we may move eventually and don't want to leave all this deliciousness behind when we go!)

Silver dollar blueberry bush
I love blueberries and want as many varieties as I have room for. The plant arrived healthy and was well packaged so suffered no damage. I have had no berries yet but expect to have some next season. It has had some new growth and is very healthy.
