Description

New Product!

This unique blueberry is becoming very popular because its foliage resembles Eucalyptus. It also produces very large, sweet, pineapple flavored berries! The leaves have hints of silver throughout the spring and early summer. In the fall, its leaves turn a deep emerald green shade. The Silver Dollar™ would be a stunning show for a sunny patio or garden. Ripens in July and again in October. Self-pollinating. May be covered by USPP #32,184 or other patents. ‘ZF06-089’ cultivar.

Size & Spacing

Mature Size

When your plant matures, it will be approximately 2 - 3' tall x 2 - 3' wide.

Recommended Spacing

We recommend spacing these plants 3 - 4' apart to ensure room for growth.

Pollination

This variety is self pollinating.

In many cases, you may still want to plant pollinating partners to increase the size of your crops, but with self-pollinating varieties doing so is optional. You'll get fruit with only one plant!

I already have 3 plants of this particular variety from another online retailer from the fall of last year, and this variety is one the most fastest growing blueberry plants I've grown so far recommended for my zone.

If planting blueberries in a container what size should the container be?
Kotch on Mar 3, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Mature blueberries need a container at least 24 inches deep and about 24-30 inches wide. When planting smaller shrubs, start with a smaller container and repot as it grows. Repot in late summer - early fall so roots have enough time to grow before winter.
How do you keep squirrels off persimmon trees? K Uyeda
Kosaku U on Jan 31, 2021
BEST ANSWER: We appreciate you reaching out to us. Common squirrel deterrents for fruit trees include Ro-Pel, capsaicin or hot pepper oil and sticky topical applications for trunks and limbs. A simple metal collar 2 feet (0.6 m.) wide around the trunk of a tree prevents entry to the canopy of the fruit tree too.

Curling leaves
After following planting instructions,, the plant had curled leaves and died.. not as healthy as other varities.

It arrived mostly dead and customer service won't respond
This plant arrived mostly dead. It's leaves were crumpled and all fell off the next day. It was also a minuscule specimen of a plant. It wasn't in transit very long and the soil was moist when it arrived so I can conclude that this little plant was shipped in this terrible condition. The worst part however is that customer service hasn't responded to my request for refund or replacement and I contacted them almost two weeks ago. I'd give it zero stars if I could.
