Image result for how to overwinter potted blueberries
The best way to overwinter your blueberry plant is to bury the container in the ground in mid-autumn in a spot that's out of the wind and likely to experience a buildup of snow. Later in the autumn, but before the snow, mulch with 4-8 inches (10-20 cm) of straw and cover the plant with a burlap bag. Water occasionally. You can also bring it inside to a cool dark place for the winter.
I purchased this plant a couple of years ago and planted it in a container on my balcony.with sn from 11am to sunset. The container is 16" wide (at top), 9"wide (at bottom),24.25"tall,12.25gallon. I put gravel in the bottom. Filled with sand for several inches over that. Then potting soil up to the 3/4. I then mix sand, potting soil, and manure on the top each spring. The plant has grown to a large size plant. I had several blueberries this past year. It is doing well so far. (I grow a raspberry and blackberry bush this way too. . . with the raspberry very very very fruitful. The blackberry does well enough.)
We appreciate you reaching out to us. blueberries are self pollinating and do not require another variety to bear fruit. However planting a second variety of any kind will increase your crop yield.

Hi Christina, This is a great question. The Northblue blueberries genus is Vaccinium and the species is corymbosum x V. angustifolium.
They can mature to be 3-4 feet tall.
Most likely, yes. Please do a soil test to see what the baseline is, then add soil acidifier according to the package directions until the pH is 4.5 to 5.0.
The same variety cannot pollinate itself. You will need another variety with a similar bloom time in order for good pollination to occur.
2-3 years to bear fruit.
We appreciate you reaching out to us. Yes these two varieties will work for pollination as blueberries are self fertile but planting more than 1 variety will increase your crop yield.

Thank you for your question. The age and size information for our blueberries is as follows: 4” pot: 6-12 months old and 4” tall; Small gallon container: 2 years old and 12” tall. Our blueberries will typically take 2-3 years after planting to reach maturity and bear fruit.
Small, hardy, prolific and can be potted
